Shin Min-ah on Joint Donation with Kim Woo-bin “We Didn’t Discuss It, Just Hoping to Spread Positivity”
On April 9, an interview with Shin Min-ah, who stars in Netflix’s series “Karma”, was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Regarding her consistent charitable contributions whenever disasters occur at home and abroad, Shin Min-ah said, “In the past, I used to think donations should be done in secret. But I heard that when someone with influence makes a donation, more people tend to join in.”
She continued, “I think it’s only right that those who are more fortunate help those in difficult situations. Even when news about donations is published, I hope at least one person sees it and is inspired in a good way. That’s truly how I feel.”
When asked whether she discussed with her boyfriend Kim Woo-bin their recent donation of 50 million KRW each for wildfire recovery, she replied, “We don’t discuss donations with each other. There have been many occasions for donations recently, and since many people are contributing, I think we naturally ended up doing it together.”
Shin Min-ah, known as a representative actress for her strong “rom-com” image and lovely charm, was asked about the fact that many celebrities have picked her as their ideal type. She smilingly said, “Not these days. I think those were all from interviews a long time ago. Of course, I’m really thankful. It feels good to hear that kind of thing. I’d like to maintain that image if I could, but I think it’ll be really difficult going forward.”
When asked “Does your boyfriend ever get jealous about that?”, Shin Min-ah responded, “Not at all.” She also shyly mentioned Kim Woo-bin’s reaction to “Karma”, saying, “He said he enjoyed it.”
Meanwhile, “Karma”, released on April 4, is a crime thriller based on Choi Hee-seon’s popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of six people entangled in inescapable and twisted relationships.
